About

“Save the cow – Save the nation movement”

What we do ???

We are a team consisting of youth and children who go visit different places in search of unsheltered cows on the street with the hope that we can satisfy their hunger not with rubbish and garbage but with chapatis and other edible things like fodder.

We also go door to door visiting houses for food and then deliver it to the unsheltered cows.

We are trying to persuade goshalas to adopt these cows.

We are working towards achieving the following objectives:

  1. Collecting door to door food :- This is our main step as we want the street cows to be able to get good food.
For that we visit homes and try to get chapatis from them which we collect in food jars and provide for the cows.
But we also face problems like we do not have enough boxes to facilitate collection from individual houses due to lack of funds.
We use our savings to provide for further food.
  2. Transportation :- Our next objective is to transfer food from houses to places where there are cows.
However, we are also not being able to arrange for a tempo which can collect and assemble the chapatis from houses.
  3. Protecting Mother Cow :- Our objective is to provide shelter to the street cows.
For this we have been approaching goshalas and convincing them to adopt these cows.
But many goshalas are only intent on making money and are sheltering the milching cows.
Very few try to serve and protect the other cows

How did we get this idea??

We have heard this saying,”Pehli roti Gaumata Ko”
This was our main motive.
In the olden times in villages and towns it was the norm to feed the first freshly made roti to the cows as they were considered worshipable and people had sentiments towards mother cow.
Feeding cows was considered to bring peace and positive energy as food offered to cows was considered prasadam.
However, with time this also was not feasible but the emotional contact remained.

Street cows were a common sight before too but they were not depending on garbage for food.
Almost every household would keep rotis for cows and then feed it to them.
But, in today’s scenario all are busy and one does not get the time to search for cows to feed them.
So we struck upon an idea to collect rotis from houses and then serve it to the cows.
This we thought would connect people with the cows reawakening their love for cows.
We came upon this as a solution so as to facilitate the pious work of feeding mother cow.
